At Minimal Risk Recruitment we strive to continuously place people into work.

We are committed to engaging with companies that specifically require your skills, training and abilities and who understand the uniformed ethos. This means that the vast majority of our candidates are former service personnel from the Armed Forces and Police service.

We offer a free interactive registration service which allows you to change your profiles and maintain your own CV. Once you are registered, you can view our current vacancies and apply for them online at the click of a button.

Registering your CV – Getting the best out of us!
Our Recruitment Management System (RMS) is a very sophisticated system, however, for it to be effective and beneficial to you then your details must be up to date and remain valid.

You are encouraged to complete as many of the questions and boxes as you can when you register and update your details. This information is incredibly useful when we are seeking people with particular skills or who live in a certain areas of the UK or abroad.

Key Words & Key Skills
Keeping your CV and skills up to date is vital, as our Recruitment Management System will read your CV when you upload it onto the system or make any changes and identify the Key Words and Skills and present them against your account. This enables us to match those skills required by potential employers to your CV and inform you of any vacancies which may be of interest to you

Leaving the Services – Advice
We are more than happy to offer any advice to anyone who has left or planning to leave the services with regards to the move into the civilian job market.

Your CV is important:
Your CV is your ‘Shop Window’. Keeping it up to date is vital and if you need to replace your CV remember to delete the one in your account first before uploading your new version.

See our advice on “How to write a CV”. Remember your CV is a reflection of who you are and you must feel comfortable with its layout and content. There is no miracle CV but this guide provides you with some assistance in helping you to create your own.

Future employers always ask to see CVs so remember your CV is what helps us to help you get to an interview.

Forget so-called ‘Professionally Written’ CVs; we see numerous and they are easily recognised, save your money!
